Welcome, dear readers, to the Fall 2013 issue of SquareTwo! The full table of contents can be found on our archives page here.

First up, we have Valerie Hudson's review of the new book by Sheri Dew, CEO of Deseret Book, entitled Women and the Priesthood. Hudson actually provides two reviews of the book to match whatever mood you happen to be in; there's a "glass half full and getting fuller" review, and a "glass half empty" review.

Second, Ralph Hancock uses the story of Jay Gatsby to explore how morality is deeply intertwined with the American Dream. He points out the two paths of transcendence that the American Dream may lead to, and reminds of the the journey of Whitaker Chambers who first chose one path, and then discarded it for something more substantial than political salvation.

Third, Morgan Lyon Cotti provides a terrific historical overview of LDS feminist movements, loking not only at feminism in the early Church, but also examining the battle over the ERA and the current waves of Mormon feminism. Cotti concludes by asking what the future holds for feminism among the LDS.

Fourth, Steve Cranney decides it's time to revisit the meme that Utah is one of the biggest consumers of online pornography. Using a different measure than the original research, he concludes the picture is not as clear-cut as some would depict it.

Fifth, by special request, we republish a landmark article by Maxine Murdock, which was originally published in 1981. It was the first article in a church publication to talk explicitly about rape and how we treat rape victims in the Church. The article is nowhere to be found online, and so SquareTwo is saving this historic work from the slipstream of time.

And last but not least, we have a spirited set of comments for our Readers' Puzzle from our readers about Edward Snowden, ranging the gamut from very positive to very negative--and all from faithful members of the Church! Whoever believes that Mormons all think alike would do well to read this fascinating spectrum of views.

As always, we offer a new Readers' Puzzle for the Fall 2013 issue: How should we reform the US immigration system, in light of the principles of the Restored Gospel? Share your ideas with us, and we'll publish them in the next issue!
